My children love worms - earth worms, that is.
Z particularly loves to go to the wormfarm and see how many he can pull through the tap. Then they go everywhere for at least 30 minutes. They ride on his skateboard, they take a trip around the garden in his wheelbarrow, they get to take comfort on mummy or daddy for a while - much welcome respite, I would guess. And thankfully they are lost back to the garden.
